A common approach is that the yoga is only one of a variety of interesting activities. Typically, you may do the yoga first thing, perhaps for a couple of hours, and then the rest of the yoga holiday is spent in the pursuits that are more holiday than yoga.

Scuba diving, access to massages or other holistic therapeutic activities, such as Ayurvedic treatments. Shopping, camel-trekking, windsurfing, or just sunbathing. Often the company that sets up the yoga holiday will have established activity holidays, and because of the recent interest in yoga generally, that they will provide yoga practice as one of many activities. The other people in the same holiday site may not necesarily be involved in the yoga.
Yoga holidays are great for groups of friends, or if you are going with a friend, the atmosphere will be less serious than a retreat, and often the holiday company offering the yoga holiday may have this is a new addition to existing activities. Many traditional holiday complexes nowadays will have opportunities to do yoga. However, just because the holiday company sells the holiday as a yoga holiday, check with them how much yoga is involved.
