Ananda Yoga

A combination of the physical and the spiritual, with the main aim to clear and prepare the body for meditation. Its about self-awareness, and affirmations, or positive images and thoughts. The yoga practice is called “ energenisation exercises”, involving relaxation and tensing the body. Also important are breathing exercises.

Iyengar Yoga

This is the preferred style for the beginner, as it is great for posture, and it in practice is a slow style. Concentrates on the body and where the hands, feet and spine are aligned. Breathing exercices are not focussed on too heavily.

Kripalu Yoga

This is where the yoga poses are held for longer lengths of time, and the yoga practice focusses on the emotional, spirtual and internal blocks to self-development. It is body aware, and the body follows the body's internal awareness.
